National Mortgage Data Repository

The National Mortgage Data Repository (NMDR) is the only national collection of mortgage loan information designed to track subprime and predatory loan terms and lender practices. Working through NCLC’s consumer advocacy networks -- including housing counselors and legal aid attorneys -- the NMDR collects and synthesizes mortgage loan document data.

Currently in the early stages of development, the NMDR ultimately will be a robust, dynamic information source. It will be used by researchers and others to study mortgage lending practices that could lead to fairer policies that protect borrowers and preserve homeownership.
