Performance of various accounting functions, including financial reporting, recordkeeping, monthly closing processing, and audit preparation for growing, dynamic nonprofit organization.
Responsibilities
Monitor financial system activity including cash flow and reconcile to general ledger. Prepare and enter journal entries as part of monthly closing process. Reconcile monthly bank statements. Record and track investment activity. Prepare grant and contract billings and other accounting reports using timekeeping software. Prepare annual publications income budget and reconcile quarterly. Prepare bank deposits and input cash receipts into the general ledger. Assist in the Center’s audit and financial reporting. Provide assistance to the Director of Finance as needed. Other tasks as assigned over time.
Qualifications
BS/BA in accounting or related field and at least two years of related nonprofit experience. Must be accurate with numbers, attentive to detail, self-motivated, and able to work in a team environment. Experience with Accpac accounting or other financial software and Excel required.
Salary
$39,492 to start plus generous health, dental insurance, and other fringe benefits including three weeks vacation.
